Property Description
Another excellent Chambers Survey
No. 13 Ely Place was built in the early 1770s on land which was once the preserve of the Bishops of Ely in Cambridgeshire and for 700 years existed as a quasi micro-State within the confines of London. Apparently - until the 1920's even the Metropolitan Police had to ask premission to enter the land upon which this building stands.
Today the building stands alongside so many of its contemporaries in an area which is dense with law firms given their proximity to the historic Inns of Court and indeed the Law Courts themselves. This proved to be an exceptional EPC survey with the original architect behind the building's restoration in 2014-15 accompanying us as we inspected the premises and were able to provide first hand details of M&E and insulation which remained hidden from eye along with reams of accompanying paperwork evidence - if only every survey was like this! The building has beautiful sympathetically restored heritage interiors and should be proud of it's EPC 'D' rating at 250 years old.
Do You have a similar building in Central London in need of an in-depth commercial EPC? Maybe you're considering selling or letting the space. Perhaps you'd just like some energy efficiency advice with a view to refurbishing the space and reap the rewards of lower bills in the coming year, do please get in touch today.
